Turmeric chai Latte
A turmeric chai latte is a warm and health-boosting drink that combines the aromatic spices of traditional chai with the anti-inflammatory benefits of turmeric. It's a delicious way to enjoy the healing properties of both turmeric and chai spices like cinnamon, ginger, and cardamom. Here's a simple recipe to make your own turmeric chai latte (Immune boosting herb tea) at home:
Ingredients
(Serves 2-3)
1 cup water
1 cup milk (dairy or plant-based like almond, oat, or coconut)
1 black tea bag or 1 tsp loose black tea
1/2 tsp ground turmeric (or 1 tsp fresh turmeric, grated)
1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp ground ginger (or 1 tsp fresh ginger, grated)
1/4 tsp ground cardamom
2-3 whole cloves or a pinch of ground cloves
1 tsp honey, maple syrup, or sweetener of choice (optional)
A pinch of black pepper (enhances turmeric absorption)
Directions:
1. Put water, turmeric, cinnamon, ginger, cardamom, cloves, and black pepper. Bring to a gentle simmer over medium heat and let it steep for 5-7 minutes to infuse the flavors.
2.Add the black tea bag or loose tea to the saucepan and simmer for another 2-3 minutes.
3.Strain the tea and spice mixture into a clean saucepan (or remove the tea bag and spices using a fine mesh strainer). Add the milk and heat gently over medium-low heat until warm.
4. Add honey as needed.

This turmeric chai latte is a delicious and nourishing drink. Perfect for sipping on a chilly day or whenever you need a little boost! ☕✨
